Established in 2003. Manhattan Steamboat was founded in 2003 with the goal of creating an exceptional offering in NY Harbor: an upscale cruising experience for group events. The co-founders' goal was to distinguish their offering by presenting New Yorkers with an exclusive, upscale venue, fresh & inspiring cuisine and exciting entertainment aboard their yachts to accompany New York City's magnificent backdrop.The company built its first yacht, the Noa Danielle, in 2003 and designed it as a 'Great Gatsby' seating room. In 2008, the owners expanded their offering to include a beautiful private yacht named Star of America. The Star of America was the world-famous yacht whose flag was raised over Ground Zero on 9/11 as shown in the famous photograph by Thomas Franklin. Following the loss of the Star of America in Storm Sandy, the owners decided to expand their offering to include a high capacity, luxury yacht, suitable for their high-end clientele. The Aqua Azul was acquired & launched to great reviews.
